“Intro to Sewing for Adults”

Instructor – Linda Wooster, retired Home Economics teacher and award-winning seamstress

In this class you will …

… learn the parts of a sewing machine and what each part does

… practice using the machine to sew straight seams

… construct a simple shopping bag from rough linen fabric

… decorate the bag with an iron-on applique (either ‘Lone Star’ or simple silhouette)

All materials and sewing machines will be provided.

Open to Ages 16+

Pre-registration is required.

**This class will take place Thursday, May 15th from 930am-1230pm at the Shuswap Makerspace.

Located at 220 Shuswap St. NE Salmon Arm, BC. Bottom of the brightly colored Innovation Center.

**Limit of 3 people. (Minimum of 2 people to run the class)
