Wood Lathe – Make A Pen!

In this course you will learn how to make a pen:

• prepare a wooden blank which will become the pen barrel
• turn a pen barrel blank on the lathe to the desired shape
• finish the wooden pen barrel to a smooth, sheer look and feel
• assemble the finished pen
• find resources and supplies for more pen projects

Each participant will leave the workshop with a finished Maple Leaf style pen.

Ages 13+ (Under 16 must have a parent supervisor attend with them)

All materials are included in the cost.

*This is not a lathe certification course. You will learn how to safely operate the lathe as an introduction to this fun hobby.

NOTE: We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes. Long hair must be tied up.

Thursday, November 13th from 12pm-3pm, at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (basement) 220 Shuswap St. NE.
