Adult Sewing Class

Instructor – Linda Wooster, retired Home Economics teacher and award-winning seamstress

In this class you will,

1. learn the parts of a sewing machine and what each part does
2. practice using the machine to sew straight seams
3. your choice of project – a pillow or a simple shopping bag – made from your choice of fabric. (All supplies are provided)
4. decorate with an iron-on applique (Choose from an existing one or design your own!)

All materials and sewing machines will be provided.

Open to Ages 16+

Pre-registration is required.

**This class will take place Jan 20, 2026 9:30am-12:30pm at the Shuswap Makerspace.

Located at 220 Shuswap St. NE Salmon Arm, BC. Bottom of the brightly colored Innovation Center.

**Limit of 3 people. (Minimum of 2 people to run the class)
