Memory Makers – Build A Birdhouse

Memory Makers program – Build A Birdhouse!
This program is set up for a senior (55+) and a youth (under 16) to take a class and build a project together for one low cost! Perfect for Grandparents and grandchildren, Aunts/Uncles with Nieces/Nephews, or even your favorite neighbor from down the road!

For this project you will be in the woodshop building a Birdhouse kit together! Fall time is a great time to put up a birdhouse as it serves as an important shelter for roosting and protection from predators and winter weather. These birdhouses are built very well to last the winter weather and are the same ones that you see on the Salmon Arm bird trail!
Open to youth 6-16 & seniors over 55.
Introduce your youth to the art of woodwork.
No major power tools or equipment will be used for this class. You will mainly be sanding and nailing. You will also get to personalize it using the laser cutter!
All supplies are included.
Saturday October 4th from 10am-1pm
Shuswap Makerspace 220 Shuswap St. NE, Salmon Arm, in the Innovation Centre (basement)
