Memory Makers – Intro To Geocaching! ~A Modern Day Treasure Hunt~
This program is set up for a senior (over 55) and a youth (under 16) to take a class together for one LOW cost!
Perfect for Grandparents & Grandchildren, Aunts/Uncles & Nieces/Nephews, or even your favorite neighbor from down the road!
Join D’Arcy for an afternoon of geocaching! This new class will introduce you to everything you need to know to get into the hobby of geocaching. It truly is a “Modern Day Treasure Hunt!”
You will learn:
- Mapping techniques
- Logic skills
- Observation skills
A smart phone and good walking shoes are required.
One hour will be spent in the boardroom discussing the above knowledge areas and downloading and learning the applicable app system; and then the remaining two hours will be spent outside finding the local treasures! Please note that you will NOT be walking for the full 2 hours straight. You will map and walk to the first area, spend some time observing and finding the hidden treasure, then continue on to the next.
$30 per duo! (One senior (over 55) and one youth (under 16))
