DESCRIPTION:LASER CUTTER 101 COURSE – 2 Part Series\n \nHere’s your chance to learn more about this exciting piece of machinery at the Shuswap Makerspace! Come and get certified to use our 100-Watt HL 1060 Laser Cutting / Engraving machine\, and learn all the capabilities of this amazing tool. What are you going to create?! \nSession 1 – Sunday November 9th 9am-3pm (with a lunch break) \n-In this class\, you will learn the basics of the machine\, safe operation\, and designing for the laser. Knowledge with Windows is required\, and there is software that can be downloaded on your personal computer to prepare your files for the laser. You will learn how to design and then use the laser cutter to cut out the project of instructors choice. \nSession 2 – Monday November 10th 6pm-8pm \n-In this second session you will use the laser to print out a project that you have designed for yourself. \n  \nThis is a certification class\, so once complete\, you can then use the Laser Cutter to create your own projects on a drop-in or membership basis! \n  \nThis course is being held: \nSunday November 9th 9am-3pm & Monday November 10th 6pm-8pm \n  \nRegister soon as space is limited to 4 people. \n*Minimum 2 people to run the course.* \nPlease Note: You will also need a laptop and usb stick. LightBurn software will run on Windows 7.0 or later\, 32 or 64 bit\, MacOS 10.11 or later\, or 64 bit Linux. \n~Subscribe to our Shuswap Makerspace newsletter here to be first in line to sign up for events! \n~Sign up for a Shuswap Makerspace Annual or Monthly Membership Here and use the shop every day!
