DESCRIPTION:Make a KITCHEN TRIVET and a CUSTOM SIGN \nIn this class you will learn how to operate the CNC machine in the Makerspace woodshop.\nYou will leave the class with 2 finished projects to use at home or give as gifts. Upon\ncompletion of this class you are certified to use the CNC on your own schedule if you are a\nmember. \nIn the morning session you will learn the CNC basics making a kitchen counter trivet. In the\nafternoon you will design and make a customized sign. \nInstructor: D. McLeod \nNumber of participants: 2 \n**Minimum of 2 Students to run the course** \nRequirements: Bring your laptop and a USB stick.\nMaterials: all are supplied\nDate: 9 AM–3PM Thursday March 5 2026-at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (basement) 220 Shuswap St. NE\nCost $150 \nNote: basic computer skills are assumed; you are not expected to be an expert. If you can\nuse a web browser (Edge\, Safari\, Chrome\, Firefox) you have the computer skills needed\nfor this class.
