DESCRIPTION:  Woodshop 101 – Build A Step Stool \n\nFamiliarize yourself with the Wood Shop and its resources.\nIntroduce yourself to the machines and power tools that you are most likely to use.\nDemonstrate how to use those machines and power tools safely.\nGet hands-on experience in operating the machines and power tools safely.\nLearn safety rules including\, E STOP\, first aid kit\, eye wash station\, fire extinguisher and emergency exits.\n\nThis workshop is led by retired cabinet maker and wood craftsperson\, Ed Campbell. \nYou will make a small step stool as part of the class and the wood is included in the cost. \nUpon Completion of this class you will then be able to utilize the woodshop for your own projects on a membership or drop in basis! \nOpen to everyone 16 years and older \nNOTE: We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes. Long hair must be tied up. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle. \nSaturday April 26th\, from 9am-4pm (1 hour lunch break)\,  at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (basement) 220 Shuswap St. NE. \n***Register soon as space is limited to 3 people!*** Minimum 2 people to run the course
